Interphasic
chromosome
is a structure in the nucleus which contains DNA that is in a period of cell
cycle when the cell is not dividing. This structure, capable of
transmitting genetic information, contains RNA and histones associated with DNA
and during this phase it is under its least condensed state, looking diffused throughout the
nucleus and not completely visible under the optical microscope.
